The Weird and Wonderful Joys of Mask 2012

We have been reflecting back on what have been our most successful trends this year. At Mask HQ, we  get very random requests and have sourced all sorts from patterned wellies to use as flower pots to  suspending 400 test tubes in the form of a chandelier,  wax skull candles and even engraved barometers. Throughout this year we have produced more bespoke events than ever before and thought we would share a  few  of our consistent trends. running throughout 2012.

Sweet Stalls

Pick’n’mix  has gone to a whole new level this year. People love the playful nature of sweet stalls and it brings out the inner child in them. We have fuelled around 2000 sugar highs this year. The sweet toothed Maskettes are partial to a cola bottle or two too especially around 4pm – or where Aimi is concerned any hour !

Grass

We love grass and have found our clients to love it too. This year we have grassed two venues. From a product launch for Boots to grassing a bar and terrace at London Zoo. It creates a big transformation and gives an unusual textural element to an event. Grass grass grass we say!

Vinyl’s

This year we have applied many vinyl’s to walls, mirrors and floors and we have learnt there is a definite technique to this. We had the ultimate master class at our Offsite. Crowned the best vinyl applier is the lovely Cassie Worman!

Draping

We love draping it completely changes a space. Our favourite draping project to date is this circus event we did in the summer. We created our own big top through draping!

Plants

We have been swapping flowers for plants on a few events this year. Creating secret garden areas in London and jungles in Nottingham. As always our lovely florist never fails to deliver.
