Ultimate Luxury at the Corinthia
Charlie and I had the pleasure of being invited to the Corinthia Masquerade ball on the 16th November. Nothing could be more fitting than a Maskette going to a “Mask” ball.
As we arrived we were greeted by flamed torches and an elaborate Mask of our choice.
The evening was held in the Ballroom with champagne flowing, beautiful canapés and a performance from the fabulous violin quartet Raven – http://www.ravenquartet.co.uk/
I was lucky enough to stay the night and what a beautiful experience it was. From a duvet that I imagine is the closest thing to heaven to having an Espa bubble bath whilst watching TV; luxury comes in buckets at the Corinthia.
The next morning we went down to the spa. The spa lover that I am I have been to a few in my time but nothing like this.This underground hideaway has been constructed with the most considered and state of the art architectural skill. The swimming pool is lined with aluminium creating a reflective ceiling and the sauna was built into the ground with a wooden chandelier!
Metal sofas are built within the Jacuzzi so that you can sit whilst powerful jets massage every muscle. In terms of ranking a spa, this is the ultimate dreamboat. The staffs are so accommodating and nothing is too much hassle.
After one night of escapism from the hustle and bustle I walked out feeling refreshed and relaxed.
