Peachy Perfect

It has been with dread that certain Maskettes have witnessed the current citrus fashion trend (owing at least in part to an early childhood trauma where one of us was made to wear an orange tutu for the Rainbow Ballet, rather than the much more covetable pink!). However, with a fruit bowl of sugar tones gracing the scene we’re coming around to the look….and we always did love an excuse to add a dash of vividly clashing colour wherever possible!

One of our favourite florists too, famed for answering ‘how are you?’ with ‘Peachy!’ has been quick to take on the clementine hue, with luscious blooms in velvety peaches that almost look edible.

So as we embrace our early summer sun we’re celebrating in peachy nudes, dreamy tangerines and lush apricots….and not least because they marry beautifully with our pretty ballet layers and full on florals.

One of us in particular has seized the look with great gusto, desperate to team peachy silk layers with the perfect nail polish to match. It’s not been plain sailing though….we’ve been through pearlised corals, pale apricots, neon tangerines and zesty clementines. But at long last the ‘perfect peach’ has been acquired….not too pink, not too pale, not too neon, just wondefully, glossy and summery peachy perfect.
